The Parkhill Area Horticultural Society
plants and maintains boulevard beds along Main
Street. The beds are all sponsored by various
businesses, service clubs, schools and Parkhill
citizens. In the summer volunteers gather
downtown once a week to fight the weeds. And of
course passer-bys are allowed to pull a weed at
any time!
Hanging Baskets
The hanging baskets are sponsored by the Parkhill
Area Business Association. The baskets and
the boulevard beds need a lot of water and
fertilizer during the summer. A crew of
volunteers water them every day.
The chore takes 3 or more hours.
